Confidential to BlackBerry developers

Searches for a version of NetHack for BlackBerry that point to my post suggesting this are the most common search leading into my blog.

There's probably a market here.

(Not that I care anymore, as I don't carry a BB. On my iPad, Dirk Zimmermann's Nethack HD is awesome; iNetHack, the iPhone version, is slightly less awesome, but still playable.)

Nethack for Blackberry

While I'm on the subject of the BlackBerry, I'd like to note that there's a marked absence of Roguelikes for the device. There's a bunch of Roguelikes for handhelds, including Nethack for Windows CE, but not a one listed for BlackBerry.

It's true that I'm not the first person to notice or complain, but I'd love to add my voice to the choir.

Tons of games exist for BlackBerry—I don't know how I'd get through airports, bus rides, and meetings without them—so why this one oversight?

If you don't know what Nethack is, it's simply the best game ever.

Packet Capture for Blackberry

Try as I might, I can't get the WordPress for BlackBerry to work right.

Sure, I can (and will) go through their forums, troubleshoot the problem, and so on—but I could probably figure it out myself if I had the ability to get packet captures on my BlackBerry, and see exactly what request was failing.

An odd BlackBerry shortcoming

I'm not sure why I can't easily undelete items on my BlackBerry. Ten minutes after I decide I can wait until I'm at my desk I realize I should have replied before I pressed the delete key.

There's a "deleted items" folder that's always empty, but nothing else apparent in the UI. Perhaps I'm missing something obvious, but I've looked and looked and can't find it.

I don't like the BlackBerry UI at all (though it's better than my old Motorola pager!) but this seems like an odd oversight even for RIM.
