Thermometers in Cell Phones
I'm told that GPS devices sometimes contain barometers, and even if not they're certainly something you can get on a chip these days.
If cell phones had barometers and thermometers, you could combine that information with location data to crowdsource yourself some fairly high-resolution weather maps.
